[List] Black & Brown Magical Girls

HEY GUYS. After my panels I get asked for all sorts of lists. I have a bunch on my hard drive but now I’m gonna start posting them publicly.

A list of Black & Brown magical girls is is the most requested one I get so It’s going up. Queer & Gender Non-confirming MGs should be next.

So. Before I get into this I wanna pre-face this with many of this representations can be problematic or come form problematic shows. Winx Club has a lot of racism within it, and Kuro is not only literally named “Black” but she comes form a show that has fan service of elementary school aged girls. I recommend looking up each series before watching it to avoid any yucky bits. This is just a list of brown and black magical girls from media I have seen, this is not an endorsement of these shows and this is not a complete list by any means as I’m sure there are things I haven’t seen that should be included.

I'd also like to expand that this list includes nearly any non-white and any non-light skinned Japanese magical girl. So if a character is a darker skinned maho from Okinawa she would be included.
