Hey y’all! So time for my next list of… Disabled Magical Girls! I’m including girls with physical and neuro related disabilities- even if they’re not out right mentioned but heavily coded/address through the series. I’m also included Magical Girls With Glasses who keep their glasses when they transform because technically this is a disability- albeit an “accepted” one. As a note I’m not using characters who lose their disability when they transform. Clémentine from the French Magical Girl show by the same name is a wheelchair user but the whole point of the show is that 1. her family is trying to make her not a wheelchair user; 2. when she’s transformed she gains the ability to walk. Disclaimer: As always this is just a lists of each character/series. This is not an endorsement of the series or me saying the character is good representation. I highly recommend looking up each series before watching it. Mobility Disability
Amputees/Missing Limbs
Vision Disability (Glasses)
Shout out to @amainoyuki on tumblr for helping me put together this portion of the list! At the time I hadn't seen Flowering Heart and Fairy Patrol yet and I had completely forgotten about Jeanie and Hazuki! Neuro-A-typical, Mental Illness, & Chronic Illness (keep in mind some of these are open to interpretation)
As always, I’m sure I’m missing some. I’ve admittedly haven’t seen anything and even if I did I’ve consumed over 200 pieces of magical girl media so I forget stuff all the time! Last Updated: 2.23.24

Ami Mizuno/Amy Mizuno/Sailor Mercury (PGSM) wears glasses to help with reading, even in senshi form (visor).

Hello! I didn't include her originally because the ratio of her wearing glasses/the visor vs. non-glasses moment were fairly low- but you're right I should have her on here! I'll just include a note that it's situational :)
